US military helicopter crashes in Germany
BERLIN — A U.S. military helicopter crashed in western Germany on Wednesday, police said. It was unclear whether there were any casualties.
The aircraft went down Wednesday evening in woods near the A67 highway between Viernheim and Lorsch, south of Frankfurt, Hesse state police said.
Police referred further queries to the U.S. military.
The U.S. Army Europe could not immediately give any details on the incident or the type of helicopter involved.
