Two petrol pumps looted in Ghaziabad

GHAZIABAD - In separate incidents, two petrol pumps were looted by armed men in Ghaziabad, police said Monday.

According to police, six armed men in a car, with registration number DL 5 C-0021, barged into Shivam Petrol pump on the Meerut Road Sunday night, filled the vehicle’s tank and then looted salesman’s cash and mobile.

The men also looted a customer at the pump of his valuables. The police compliant says that Rs.40,000 in cash and two mobile phones were snatched at gun point from the pump.

In another incident, robbers looted cash and mobile phone from Sharma Petrol Pump on National Highway-24.

The criminals forcibly entered the cash room of the pump and took away all money along with the salesman’s mobile phone.

“We have received a complaint but we are verifying facts and would initiate legal action against the criminals accordingly,” a police officer said.
