NEW DELHI - A man was beaten to death and his younger brother was severely injured by four allegedly drunk men when the duo objected to their urinating on their house’s wall in west Delhi, police said Saturday. One of the assailants has been arrested.

“The incident took place last (Friday) night in Vishnu Garden area of west Delhi when Gurvinder witnessed some people making a noise in the street. He asked them to go away but one of them started urinating on the wall of his house,” a police officer said.

“An argument commenced and the four started thrashing Gurvinder. His brother Parvinder came to help him but he was also badly beaten. The four then fled, leaving the brothers lying on the ground,” the police officer added.

Police was informed and reached the spot. The victims were taken a nearby hospital where doctors declared Gurvinder dead while Parvinder’s condition was described as serious.

“Gurvinder was a mechanic. The four accused are employed in a chemical factory in the nearby area. One of them, Manoj, was arrested Saturday while the other three are absconding. Further investigations in the matter are on,” the officer said.
