George Clooney asks Americans to help Haiti

LONDON - Hollywood actor George Clooney has urged Americans to help the victims of the Haitian earthquake.

“This is a tragedy that reaches across all borders and all boundaries and demands our attention, our help and our compassion as fellow human beings,” said Clooney while hosting a two-hour ‘Hope for Haiti’ fundraising telethon, which was streamed live on all major US television networks and a few websites Friday, reports contactmusic.com.

“The Haitian people need our help. They need to know they’re not alone, they need to know that we still care,” he added.
