SAN FRANSISO (GaeaTimes.com)- The poorest country in the Western Hemisphere is suffering from a tragic quake. However, the controversial radio jockey Rush Limbaugh has a different story to narrate. Rush Limbaugh’s comments on Haiti is really shocking. He reacts to ex-president Bill Clinton’s appointment as UN special envoy and puts “I’m just gonna tell you, if I was named envoy to Haiti, I’d quit government. Envoy to Haiti? You can’t even pick up a prostitute down there without genuine fear of AIDS.” He is suggesting people not to donate money to Haitian relief a project enunciated by the White House. According to Rush Limbaugh, “A big chunk of your donation will get siphoned off by government bureaucrats.” The press secretary of White House, Robert Gibbs called the assertions made by Rush Limbaugh “really stupid.”
Haiti had to suffer dictatorship for years. It is devastated by four hurricanes. It needs our help and not criticism. It is too an in sensitive attitude on his part. Rush Limbaugh’s comments on Haiti will hurt sentiments of the sufferers. He is even critical about the US president Barack Obama. He says when Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab tried to blow a airliner, President Obama was on a holiday. It took him three days to address this issue. On the contrary, he extended his help right after the Haiti tragedy. Rush Limbaugh says, president Barack Obama was happy for the incident as he will “use this to burnish their, shall we say, credibility with the black community, in the … the both light - skinned and dark - skinned community in this country. It’s made to order for them.”
Rush Limbaugh’s comments on Haiti has without any doubts stirred up a lot of talks on the issue, with most condemning the the radio personality’s take at the unfortunate incident.
