Rite Aid donating $50,000 to Red Cross
CAMP HILL, Pa. — Drug store operator Rite Aid Corp. said Thursday it is donating $50,000 to the American Red Cross to help Haiti relief efforts after the worst earthquake there in more than two centuries destroyed a large swath of the country.
Rite Aid also said it will launch an in-store fundraising program next week for customers.
Shoppers will be able to donate funds by buying $1 disaster relief certificates at any Rite Aid store.
All funds raised will be donated to the American Red Cross International Response Fund for earthquake relief.
