Rs.34 lakh looted from SBI parking lot

GREATER NOIDA - Armed robbers struck at the parking lot of a State Bank of India (SBI) branch Tuesday noon and looted Rs.34 lakh in cash from a petroleum company manager, police in this suburban town said.

Colonel (retd) V.B. Singh, manager of a Bharat Petroleum retail outlet, was going to deposit the cash in the SBI branch near Kailash Hospital when the incident occurred.

He was parking his car around noon when the robbers snatched the cash from him and his assistant, police said.

The manager called the police but the criminals had fled.
