Girl kills aunt over love life

GREATER NOIDA - Furious with her aunt for opposing her friendship with a boy, a girl killed her with an iron rod in Kakor area of Greater Noida, police said Wednesday.

“Rajni was in love with Sonu of Palwal. She used to receive phone calls from him which her aunt, Kusum, did not like. On Monday, she took away the mobile phone. This angered Rajni who hit her aunt in the head with an iron bar,” Superintendent of Police Surendra Verma said.

After the murder, Rajni fled the house, police said. Both Rajni and Sonu were arrested while proceeding to Faridabad in Haryana.
