QUEENSLAND (GaeaTimes.com)- The Category 5 Cyclone Yasi hit the shores of Queensland on Wednesday midnight and left thousands of people homeless. However, the meteorologists reported that the Cyclone Yasi has diminished to category 1 storm on Thursday and it is expected to bring in heavy rain in Queensland. The weather forecast of the upcoming days suggests that the rains due to Australia storm bring flood in many areas of the country.

The Category 5 Cyclone Yasi hit the Queensland coast on Wednesday midnight and it it lefty around 170,000 homes without any power. Neil Roberts, the Emergency Service Minister of the country said that some ares of Australia would remain without power for about a week or so.
