Australia Storm To Bring Rain

QUEENSLAND (GaeaTimes.com)- The Category 5 Cyclone Yasi hit the shores of Queensland on Wednesday midnight and left thousands of people homeless. However, the meteorologists reported that the Cyclone Yasi has diminished to category 1 storm on Thursday and it is expected to bring in heavy rain in Queensland. The weather forecast of the upcoming days suggests that the rains due to Australia storm bring flood in many areas of the country.
The Category 5 Cyclone Yasi hit the Queensland coast on Wednesday midnight and it it lefty around 170,000 homes without any power. Neil Roberts, the Emergency Service Minister of the country said that some ares of Australia would remain without power for about a week or so. He also added that the emergency officials are leaving no stones unturned to provide relief to the victims. The Premier of Queensland, Anna Bligh told a reputed media outlet that thousands of people are lefty homeless because of the Australia storm.
The Bureau of Meteorology announced that Cyclone Yasi is expected to move toward west-southwest and the speed of the stormy winds would reach near about 77 miles per hour. Jennifer Delgado, the meteorologist of a reputed network announced that the heavy rain owing to Australia storm could continue until next Friday. The media outlets speculate that the Cyclone might cause more devastation to the citizens of Queensland and hence the people are asked to stay aware of the situations. Anna Bligh, on the other hand, said that the next 24 hours are going to be tough and next couple of days would also be tougher. In his interview, Neil Roberts said that it was the worst cyclone that the country has experienced.
