NEW DELHI - The Delhi Police Friday released the sketch of one of the four men who abducted and gangraped a BPO employee from the northeast two days ago.

The sketch was released on the basis of the CCTV footage that captured the four accused and from questioning of the girl’s friend, the main witness in the case.

The BPO employee, a 30-year-old Mizoram woman, was dropped alongwith another girl 100 metres from her home by an office vehicle in Dhaula Kuan in south Delhi late in the night. She was abducted by four men and gangraped in a moving tempo goods carrier early Wednesday.

The men then drove all the way to Mangolpuri in northwest Delhi and dumped her there.

At 1.26 a.m., police received the first call about the abduction from one of the woman’s friends. Around 40 minutes later the victim herself called the police authorities.

The police also blamed the driver of the cab for dropping the woman 100 metres away from her residence.

Police officials added that investigations are still on and they are yet to nab the culprits.
