ISLAMABAD - A man shot dead his 19-year-old sister in Pakistan’s Lahore city as she didn’t have “good character”, police said.

Zubaida, a resident of Manga Mandi, had a quarrel with her brother Mukhtar Monday, The News International reported.

Mukhtar then opened fire, killing her instantly.

He later fled from the spot.

A case had been registered against Mukhtar on a complaint lodged by his father Arif.

“Arif told us that his daughter did not have a good character over which Mukhtar used to quarrel with her,” said Muhammad Khan, a police official.
