MUMBAI - The Central Bureau of Investigation Friday filed charge sheet against 14 railway police officials in cases of corruption and extortion, an official here said.

The CBI action came nearly a year after it raided the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) in Bandra, following complaints from passengers.

The CBI official said the 14 Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials used to collect money from passengers standing in queues to board the general bogies of trains originating from LTT platforms.

Some passengers complained that the RPF officials on duty were extorting money before allowing them to board the general bogies of the trains.
