ISLAMABAD - Pakistan and South Africa will play a charity cricket match in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to help collect funds for the over 20 million flood affected people in Pakistan.

The charity match will be played prior to the start of the Pakistan-South Africa series in the last week of October, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sources said.

Organisers have, however, not specified the date on which the charity match would be held, Xinhua reported Wednesday.

The series will be played in Abu Dhabi and Dubai between Oct 26 and Nov 24.

Over 1,700 people died and around 20 million were left homeless in one of the worst-ever calamities in Pakistan. The UN has appealed for $2 billion in emergency aid for the millions of victims.
