Official: 5 dead in home fire in western Tennessee

ATOKA, Tenn. — A fire official says five people are dead after a blaze at a home in the western Tennessee town of Atoka.

Lt. Scotty McDivitt of the Munford Fire Department says the alarm came in around 2:30 a.m. CDT Tuesday.

McDivitt says the relationships of those killed wasn’t immediately clear.

Atoka is in Tipton County about 25 miles northeast of Memphis.
