RANCHI - Three Maoist guerrillas surrendered here Friday before the Jharkhand police chief, a top police official said.

“These Maoist guerrillas approached me and expressed their willingness to surrender. They have laid down rifles, pistol and live cartridges. They will be rehabilitated under provisions of the Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy of the state government,” Jharkhand Director General of Police (DGP) Neyaz Ahmad told reporters.

The surrendered rebels are Ringa Munda, Mantu Sahu and Ajay Kandula. In the past two months, eight Maoist rebels have surrendered in Jharkhand.
