GREATER NOIDA - Two students were killed and three others critically injured when their car turned turtle in this satellite town of the national capital, police said Friday.

Around 11.30 p.m. Thursday, five students — among them two women — of Noida’s Bajaj Institute were driving fast on the Noida-Dadri road near Kulesara police post here. The vehicle crashed into the divider and turned turtle on the opposite side of the road.

The injured students were rushed to Kailash Hospital where two of them — Aligarh resident Savita Gupta, 23, and 21-year-old Jayash Bapna from Pune — were declared dead.

Two students were admitted in the hospital for treatment and were stated to be in a critical condition.

The fifth victim was taken to Fortis Hospital by his family members.

“After conducting legal formalities we will hand over the bodies of the deceased to their parents. Whether they were drunk or not will be ascertained only after the post-mortem reports reach us,” Greater Noida Superintendent of Police Atul Saxena told IANS.
