Nepal Plane Crash Kills 14

KATHMANDU, NEPAL (GaeaTimes.com)- All the 14 passengers who were aboard a small aircraft which was making its way to the Everest region crashed near the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu on Tuesday. The Agni Air plane supposedly intended to land at a popular trekking destination along the Everest region in the northern part of Nepal when the unfortunate incident took place. Authorities have confirmed that there are no survivors in the plane crash but as of now the circumstances which led to accident is not known.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, the plane which crashed on Tuesday had a number of foreign nationals on board which included four Americans, a British national as well as a Japanese but the identities for those killed has not been confirmed by the government officials till now. Local villagers residing in areas adjoining to the site of the plane crash in Nepal has divulged that the aircraft collided into the field near a school at a distance of about fifteen miles in the southern direction of Kathmandu. Eye-witnesses have revealed that pieces of the aircraft is scattered all over the place while body parts of the victims can also been seen in the field where the crash took place.
Following the plane crash near the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu, Jaya Mukunda Khanal who is the spokesperson of the home ministry of the country has revealed that a police rescue team is on its way to the site of the accident. In the meanwhile, relatives of the victims waited anxiously at the Kathmandu airport to get information about whether there are any survivors.
