BEIJING - About 51,000 people were evacuated and three were reported missing Saturday after floods ravaged northeast China’s Liaoning province, authorities said.

Some 230 houses collapsed while transport and power supply were cut in some areas of Dandong city due to the floods triggered by heavy rains, the authorities said.

Roads along the Yalu, a border river between China and North Korea, were submerged, Xinhua reported.
