CALIFORNIA (GaeaTimes.com) — Renowned American plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan has died in a car accident at around 4.30 pm on August 16, 2010. Mr. Ryan drove has 1995 Jeep Wrangler off a cliff on pacific Coast highway in Malibu, California.

The jeep crashed on the rocks below the cliff with Ryan and his dog trapped inside. Lifeguards who reached the spot a few hours later, tried to pull out Ryan out of the jeep. But he was trapped inside the car with severe head injury. The Ventura County Fire Department tried to hoist Ryan using a helicopter. But the attempt was called off as he had already been pronounced dead at the scene. Astonishingly, Ryan’s dog Jill was thrown out of the vehicle and hence it survived with some minor injuries only.

After doing a full autopsy on August 17, authorities have informed Ryan’s family that he probably died from distracted driving due to ‘tweeting’. Infact Ryan’s last tweet was published minutes before his accident. The ‘tweet’ contained a picture of his dog on top of a sand dune and a single line saying ” Border collie Jill surveying the view from atop the sand dune”.

Ryan was known for performing extreme plastic surgeries on celebrities such as Heidi Montag and Shauna Sand. He was also associated with a non-profit foundation named “The Bony Pony Ranch”.

It is very sad that such a talented surgeon met a premature death. This will surely make people think twice before using their cellphone while driving. Do you think that the law regarding usage of cellphone while driving should be made firmer? Or it is us who should be blamed? Do not forget to share your view with us.
