Plexus confirms fire in Romania factory
NEENAH, Wis. — Electronic manufacturing services company Plexus Corp. said a fire broke out in one of its two factories in Oradea, Romania.
The fire happened after production hours while the building was unoccupied, the company said late Monday. It did not disclose the cause of the blaze.
Operations will be suspended until at least Thursday morning local time so Plexus can assess the damage.
“Our team onsite in Oradea is actively managing plans to resume operations as quickly as possible,” said Mike Buseman, senior vice president of global manufacturing operations. “We remain committed to protecting our customer’s continuity of supply.”
