AUCKLAND - A building that once housed a brothel in a New Zealand town is being turned into a museum for police memorabilia.

The Public Trust Building in Dannevirke town, 550 km from Auckland, which housed a brothel in 2008, will now be home to the International Police Museum, which will feature model and real police vehicles, badges and caps from police forces from all over the world, the New Zealand Herald reported.

An exhibit featuring the Sep 11, 2001 attacks in New York will go on display next year ahead of the 10th anniversary of the twin tower terror attack, former senior sergeant Bruce Lyon, in charge of the museum, was quoted as saying.
