28 killed in China mine accident

BEIJING - At least 28 miners were killed when an underground cable caught fire inside a coal mine in China’s Shaanxi province, officials said Sunday.

The incident occurred at around 8.10 p.m. Saturday at the Xiaonangou coal mine in Hancheng city, Xinhua reported citing a provincial government statement.
