BEIJING - Landslides triggered by torrential rains left three people dead and at least 50 missing in southwest China’s Yunnan province, authorities said Tuesday.

Eleven people were injured in the disaster, the provincial government said in a press release.

Heavy rains battered Xiaohe township of Qiaojia county early Tuesday, followed by flash floods and landslides that destroyed several homes, Xinhua reported.
