LONDON - A man attacked a shopkeeper in Britain after the condom he had purchased split during sex as it was too small.

Jude Ukachukwu went to the store owner and sought a refund, saying his contraceptive had split during sex, The Sun reported Tuesday.

An altercation took place when shopkeeper Sasisedaran Sellathurai refused to return his money. Ukachukwu punched the shopkeeper in his face during the row in Hatfield, Herts.

Sellathurai told St Albans Crown Court that the assailant had demanded his money back as the condoms were the wrong size.

“I asked to see the pack but he said he didn’t have a receipt. He started shouting he was a bad man and would kill me,” he said.

Ukachukwu, 21, was ordered to do 150 hours’ community work and pay 200 pounds compensation plus 480 pounds as costs.

District Judge Peter Crabtree observed that Ukachukwu may have been frustrated by the manner in which his complaint was handled, but that there was no reason for violence.
