Two football fans killed in Kenya pub brawl

NAIROBI - Two football fans were killed in a brawl here in the Kenyan capital after Ghana’s loss in the World Cup quarterfinals, police said.
The first victim was stabbed in the stomach and died on the spot, while his attacker was lynched by the mob at a bar in the outskirts of Nairobi Friday night, police chief Anthony Kibuchi was quoted as saying by Xinhua.
The two men entered into an argument moments after Ghana lost their quarterfinal match against Uruguay. They were among hundreds of fans who were watching the match at the Githurai Kimbo residential estate, about 20 km from Nairobi.
One of the men was stabbed, and the crowd soon intervened and the culprit was beaten to death, Kibuchi said.
Ghana’s chance to make history as the first African team to reach a World Cup semifinal after they lost 4-2 in penalties, after drawing the game 1-1 till extra time.
