Youth Congress leader arrested in Jharkhand

RANCHI - A Youth Congress leader was arrested in the company of a woman in Jharkhand’s Lohardaga district, but his supporters said he had been framed.

Sanjay Marethia, who came from New Delhi to conduct Youth Congress elections in the district, about 90 km from here, was arrested after his hotel room was raided Monday night, police said.

Youth Congress leaders said that All Jharkhand Students Party activists had implicated Marethia. Many Youth Congress workers demonstrated in front of the police station where Marethia was lodged.
