RANCHI - Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has filed a police complaint against a Kolkata-based sports management company accusing it of cheating him of Rs.10 crore.

“Dhoni has sent a letter asking us to lodge a FIR (first information report) against Game Plan (Pvt Ltd),” said Harichandra Singh, a sub-inspector of the Doranda police station here. The FIR was lodged Tuesday.

According to police, Game Plan and Dhoni entered into a three-year contract in 2005.

In line with the contract, the company handled advertisement related work of Dhoni. The contract ended in January 2008.

Dhoni alleged that Game Plan took three advertisement contracts on behalf of Dhoni after the contract ended but did not pay him, Singh said.
