NOIDA - Unidentified armed robbers looted over Rs.26 lakh from a petrol pump here Monday morning, police said.

The robbery took place at a Bharat Petroleum retail outlet in Sector-35 when three employees were taking an inventory of the previous day’s sales.

The three staffers were counting the cash when five men armed with pistols and iron rods barged into the room, threatened them at gunpoint and fled with the entire cash.

Two of their accomplices waited for them in a car parked outside and then sped away after the robbery, said Superintendent of Police (City) A.K. Tripathi.

A case has been registered on the complaint of one of the employees, Surendra, and a hunt is on for the robbers, he added.
