Police: Suicide bomber near Afghan conference

KABUL, Afghanistan — Police say that a suicide bomber detonated explosives a few hundred yards (meters) from a national peace conference in the Afghan capital.

Police officer Kamaluddin said there were no immediate reports of any other casualties in the blast, other than the bomber.
