CBI nabs two IAF engineers for taking bribe

NASHIK - Two Indian Air Force garrison engineers were arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for allegedly taking bribe from a contractor for clearing his payments, the investigative agency said Wednesday.
“The accused were caught red handed while demanding and accepting Rs.50,000 from a contractor at Sai Palace Hotel in Nashik Tuesday,” a CBI official said.
The accused were identified as R.J. Kukkar, assistant garrison engineer (contract), and S.T. Patil, junior engineer, at air force station in Ojhar.
“It is alleged in the written complaint of a contractor that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs.70,000 for clearing his bill payments,” said the CBI official.
