Magnitude 6.5 quake rattles Brazil

BRASILIA - An earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale Monday struck Acre in western Brazil, Xinhua reported.
The quake occurred at 11.18 a.m. at a depth of about 580 km. The epicentre was located 127 km from the city of Cruzeiro do Sul.
