Matador Gored By Bull, Recovery Uncertain

MADRID (GaeaTimes.com)- Spanish Bullfighter Julio Aparicio nearly escaped death on Friday when he was engaged in a bull fighting event in Madrid’s San Isidro Festival and the goring was so brutal that the viewers started screaming in horror. It is well known that in Spain bull fighting is a traditional sport and despite the dangers associated with it is being played for centuries. The half ton raging bull caught the bullfighter under his throat and its horn pierced his throat by the side and emerged from his mouth. The sight was horrific and the bull fighter was thrown in the ground by the animal. The fellow bullfighters rushed to his rescue and managed to chase away the injured bull. The matador received possibly the severest goring of his life by the bull and now he is battling for life.

The matador who had been gored by bull critically was taken to Las Ventas medical centre where the doctors performed a one hour operation on him. Later he was shifted to Madrid’s October 12 Hospital where he had to undergo an emergency tracheotomy. It was a complex operation. The matador is still in ICU and his condition is slowly returning to stability. However, recovery is still far away. To be honest, in the first few hours it was not certain whether he will survive or not.

As a matter of fact Matador Julio Aparicio who had been gored viciously by a bull has bull fighting in his blood. His father is also a famous matador. His friends and family is praying for his recovery.
