Three CISF troopers held for rape

GANDHINAGAR - Three Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) troopers were arrested in Surat city of Gujarat Saturday for allegedly raping a widow, police said.

The victim in her police complaint said three people forcibly dragged her into an autorickshaw and repeatedly raped her by turns.

She had given the autorickshaw’s number from which the police traced the accused who were subsequently identified as CISF personnel.

The police claimed that the troopers had confessed their crime and will be brought before a court for remand.
