Small earthquake shakes Southern Calif.
PORT HUENEME, Calif. — A small earthquake in Southern California has rocked an area of Ventura County near Port Hueneme (weye-NEE’-mee), about 66 miles west of Los Angeles.
A preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey says the 3.9-magnitude quake hit at 8:19 p.m. Friday nine miles east-southeast of Port Hueneme.
A KCAL-TV reporter in Ventura County told the station she felt a quick jolt.
There are no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
