LONDON - A 22-year-old British woman survived a fall from a first-floor window after landing on her Indian-origin boyfriend’s luxury supercar.
Jade Bates escaped with only a leg injury after she tumbled and fell backwards on an Aston Martin while partying at Jasvir Deo’s plush home.
She landed on the bonnet of his new 140,000 pounds DB9 sports car.
“There was a huge scream and Jasvir looked outside to see Jade lying on his car. He was frantic. If the Aston hadn’t had such a long bonnet, she could have been paralysed or dead. The car saved her,” The Sun quoted a friend as saying.
Bates fell nearly 12 feet from the open bedroom window at the Aberdeen townhouse.
Twentyeight-year-old Jasvir, who upgraded from an Audi R8 weeks earlier, was said to be “distressed” at the fall.
Another friend said: “They were celebrating a friend’s birthday. The guys were in the kitchen and the girls were upstairs. It appears to have been just an accident.”
“Jasvir just bought the car and there seemed to be problems with electrics. It’ll cost a lot more to fix now.”
