Two children die in fire in Orissa

BHUBANESWAR - Two children were burnt to death Thursday in a fire that broke out in their house in Orissa’s Sambalpur district, police said.

“A three year old boy and a five year old girl died on the spot,” a police official said.

The children were watching television when the fire broke out, suspected to be triggered by an electrical short circuit.

A seven year old girl, who was also in the house was rescued by residents and has been admitted to hospital with severe burns, the police official added.
