Southern California wildfire burns 60 acres

PEDLEY, Calif. — Southern California firefighters have stopped the forward progress of a fire that burned about 60 acres of hilly brushland and briefly forced partial evacuation of a mobile home park.

Fire Capt. Fernando Herrera says efforts will be made to allow residents to return home in the Glen Avon area of western Riverside County, where 32 residences were evacuated.

Herrera says no one has been injured and there are no reports of damage from the Wednesday fire.

Southern California has had blustery and dry weather this week.
