Oklahoma Tornado Leaves Five Dead

NORMAN, OKLAHOMA (GaeaTimes.com)- At least 5 people have died and several other have been injured in a series of tornado that struck large parts of the U.S. state of Oklahoma throughout Monday. The tornadoes which were sparked by extremely violent weather is known to have resulted in widespread damage in northern, southern as well as eastern part of Oklahoma, reports have revealed.
The extensive magnitude of the adverse weather condition could be easily comprehended from the fact that overturned cars, snapped poles, damaged houses as well unearthed trees became a common sight in most parts of the U.S. state. Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management’s acting spokesperson Jerry Lojka divulged to the media that at least two people have died at the Oklahoma city while three others had lost their lives in Tecumseh which is located at a distance of 45 miles in the southeast direction of the Oklahoma city. At the same time, officials of the Norman Regional Health System has revealed that due to the Oklahoma tornadoes as many as eight people in Norman received critical injuries owing to which they had to be admitted in a medical facility. Media reports have also stated that preliminary treatment had been administered to around 25 people at the Norman Regional Hospital.
Despite the fact that the Oklahoma tornadoes have already caused widespread damage, it seem that the harrowing time for the residents of the U.S. state is going to continue for some time as the hostile weather conditions is likely to go on for some time now, if reports issued by the meteorologist are anything to go by.
