GANDHINAGAR - After the arrest of Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Vipul Agrawal Monday night in connection with the killing in a fake gun fight of Tulsi Prajapati, the sole eyewitness of the Sohrabuddin Sheikh staged killing, two constables of the Gujarat police were arrested Tuesday.

Prajapati, a close associate of Sohrabuddin, was killed in Banaskantha district in December 2006, about a year after Sohrabuddin’s elimination in Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, Agrawal, who then was a deputy superintendent of police of Banaskantha, was Tuesday taken to Banaskantha for presenting him before a local court for police remand.

Following his arrest, two police constables Jethabhai Darbar and Vinod Nai have also been arrested.

Meanwhile, Rajkot’s Commissioner of Police Geetha Johri, who as the former head of the state Central Investigation Department was investigating the Sohrabuddin case, appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for questioning. The examination will continue Wednesday too.

G.L. Singhal, superintendent in the Anti-Terrorist Squad who was posted in Gandhinagar at the time of the Sohrabuddin killing, will also be questioned by the CBI Wednesday.
