Truck ploughs into school, one killed, 25 injured

LUCKNOW - A school student was killed and 25 others were injured Tuesday after a speeding truck ploughed into a school in Uttar Pradesh\’s Farrukhabad district, police said.

Of the 25 students injured in the accident, the condition of four is critical. doctors attending on them said. All the injured are being treated in a hospital in Farrukhabad, some 300 km from Lucknow.

\”The speeding truck\’s driver lost its control and the vehicle ploughed into the Shiv Nandan School in Mohmadabad area, killing a class 2 student on the spot and leaving 25 others (aged between 6-10 years) injured,\” police inspector Siraj Ahmad told reporters in Farrukhabad.

The driver is on the run now.
