IPL betting racket busted in Madhya Pradesh

BHOPAL - Five people were arrested in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore city for running a betting racket on the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket final, police said Monday.

“Five people have been nabbed for betting on the IPL final during a raid Sunday night at a flat in Venkatesh Dham Colony in Indore,” a police official said.

Cash, cellular phones, television sets and documents relating to betting running into lakhs of rupees have been seized from the accused.
