Woman kills brother with lover’s help

BHOPAL - A 22-year-old woman killed her brother with the help of her lover in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior district, police said Friday.

The deceased, Hari Shankar, was missing for the past 45 days and a report was lodged with the police.

According to police, Shankar often had arguments with her elder sister Kranti over her affair with Rajkumar, 39, father of three children.

“Fed with fights with her brother, Kranti with the help of her lover Rajkumar strangled Hari on March 5 and threw his body in the nearby forest,” a police official said.

Kranti and Rajkumar were detained for interrogation during which they confessed to the murder, the official said.
