Powerful quake jolts Chile

SANTIAGO - A magnitude 6.1 quake Friday jolted central Chile, the US Geological Survey said. There was no immediate report of casualties or damage.

The quake struck at 1003 GMT, with the epicentre 65 km south of Concepcion, Chile’s second largest city, Xinhua reported.
