SHIMLA - An antique bell was stolen from the Himachal Pradesh capital Thursday, police said.

“An antique bell made of gun metal was found stolen this (Thursday) morning from the premises of the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies (IIAS),” Superintendent of Police R.M. Sharma told IANS.

He said the bell was installed at the entrance of IIAS.

Ashok Sharma, a spokesperson for IIAS, said the royal family of Nepal had gifted the bell in 1903 to Lord Curzon, the then viceroy of India.
