Somali pirates seize Greek cargo ship

ATHENS - A Greek cargo ship with 21 Philippine crewmembers on board was hijacked by the Somali pirates near the Gulf of Aden Wednesday, officials said.
Voc Daisy was sailing from the United Arab Emirates to Morocco when it was seized by the pirates some 190 nautical miles southeast off Oman, Xinhua reported.
The ship is owned by Greek shipping company Samartzis Maritime Enterprises.
Authorities said the ship is now heading towards Somalia and the crewmembers are in good health.
