Fires break out in two Ghaziabad factories

GHAZIABAD - Fires broke out in two factories in the trans-Hindon area of Ghaziabad Thursday, officials said.

A minor fire broke out in Khanna Coir Foams Limited around at noon. It was quickly brought under control.

Meanwhile, a major fire was reported at the Jyoti Udyog Ltd at 7 p.m. A dozen fire tenders were pressed into service and were still fighting to control the blaze more than two hours later it broke out, fire officer A.P.Singh said.

The cause of fire is yet not ascertained. The priority is to control the fire first, he added.
