Trader arrested for robbery

NEW DELHI - A trader and two of his friends have been arrested for robbing valuables at an exporter’s house, police said Thursday.
Vijay Gupta was robbed of Rs.15 lakh in his house in Central Delhi March 23, a police official said. A case of robbery was registered.
The team investigating the case received information that trader Mohmaad Shakir, 30, had hired some robbers to get back at Gupta, who had cancelled an order for handicrafts from Shakir and even defaulted in paying his dues.
Shakir planned the robbery with two of his friends Imran, 26, and Mehboob, 40 - both said to be criminals from Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh
“Further investigation is in progress to apprehend the remaining accused and to recover the loot,” a police officer said.
