Man’s body recovered from house in south Delhi

NEW DELHI - The body of a 45-year-old man was recovered from his residence in south Delhi, police said Wednesday.

The doorbell of Sandeep Basu’s house in Chittaranjan Park was rung many times Tuesday morning, but he didn’t respond. After a while, the police were called and they recovered his body from the apartment.

“We received a call at 10:40 a.m. that a resident of Chittaranjan Park was not responding to his doorbell. Our team arrived at the spot and recovered the body from inside the apartment,” said a police officer.

“Further action will be taken after we see the autopsy report,” added the police officer.
