Police: OR man dies after crashing stolen car
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — An Oregon man is dead after police say he crashed a stolen vehicle into a tree after shutting off the headlights in an attempt to elude officers.
Springfield police Sgt. Tom Borchers confirmed Monday that 21-year-old Christopher Lee Rose died at Sacred Heart Medical Center.
The Springfield man crashed early Saturday.
Police say they were pursuing a stolen vehicle on city streets before losing sight of it when the lights were shut off. They found the car after it crashed.
