Himachal legislator booked for intimidating official

SHIMLA - A Congress legislator from Himachal Pradesh was booked Monday for intimidating a government official, police said.

“Congress legislator Subhash Chand Manglate from Chopal in Shimla district was booked Monday for threatening a sub divisional magistrate and obstructing him from discharging his duties,” Superintendent of Police R.M. Sharma told IANS.

However, Manglate refuted the allegations.

“It’s just a political vendetta of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government to settle personal scores,” he said.
